Itinerary Days:

Day 01

Arrival in Rwanda

Arrival: Land at Kanombe (Kigali) Airport where your designated driver awaits. Begin your journey with a scenic three-hour drive north to Kinigi through Ruhengeri, marveling at Rwanda's stunning landscapes, terraced hills, and tea plantations.

Accommodation: Overnight at Hotel La Palme or Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (Full Board - FB).

Day 02

Gorilla Trekking in Parc National des Volcans

Morning: Depart early to Kinigi Park Headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking etiquette.

Activity: Embark on a trek through dense forest to encounter mountain gorillas in their natural habitat, an unforgettable experience spending an hour observing these magnificent creatures.

Accommodation: Overnight at Hotel La Palme or Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (FB).

Day 03

Exploring Parc National des Volcans

Options: Choose from several activities: track golden monkeys, climb Mt. Visoke, visit the Karisoke Research Centre established by Dian Fossey, or engage with local communities.

Afternoon: Enjoy lunch in Ruhengeri before transferring to Gisenyi.

Accommodation: Overnight at Serena Hotel (Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner - B-L-D).

Day 04

Lake Kivu - Gisenyi

Morning: After breakfast, explore Lake Kivu in Gisenyi, a short drive offering spectacular views of colonial architecture and flowered gardens.

Activity: Relax with lunch on the lake's beaches and consider visiting local markets or the township of Goma in Congo (note: Congo visit requires a visa).

Accommodation: Overnight stay with Meal Plan B-L-D.

Day 05

Kigali City Tour - Akagera National Park

Morning: Depart for Kigali for a city tour, including the poignant Genocide Memorial museum and local markets for a taste of Rwandan culture.

Afternoon: Proceed to Akagera National Park. Time permitting, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Ihema, offering wildlife viewing and birdwatching opportunities.

Accommodation: Meal Plan B-L-D.

Day 06

Game Drive in Akagera National Park and Departure

Early Morning: Set out for a morning game drive to spot wildlife such as buffaloes, lions, elephants, and more.

Afternoon: Return to Kigali post-lunch. You'll be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport for your departure flight.

Note: Early breakfast provided, with the rest of the day's meals depending on your departure schedule.

Booking and Cancellation Policy

Pricing:

The listed prices are in Australian dollars. Please note that prices may be subject to change due to factors such as surcharges, fees, taxes, or currency fluctuations.

Reservations:

To secure a reservation, you must fill out and submit a booking form. Upon receipt of your form, Daventure Tours will send you a confirmation email along with an invoice. This invoice will detail the initial deposit (30% of the tour cost) that is required within 7 days to confirm your booking. The remainder of the payment must be completed according to the specified schedule.

The final payment, covering the remaining 70% of the tour cost, is due 90 days before the tour's departure date.

For bookings made less than 90 days before departure, the full payment of the tour cost is required immediately.

Deposits:

A deposit of 30% is needed at the time of booking. Certain tours may require higher deposits due to specific tour operators' conditions.

Payment in full is required for Gorilla permits at the time of booking, and this fee is non-refundable.

Cancellations and Refunds:

To cancel a reservation, a written notification is required. Cancellation charges will be applied from the date your written cancellation is received, as follows:

More than 90 days before departure: You will forfeit the 30% deposit.
Between 90 to 30 days before departure: 70% of the total trip cost will be charged.
Less than 30 days before departure: No refund is available, and 100% of the total trip cost will be charged.
